In the morning we pass the Dardanelles and in the evening come to anchor at Mytilene, Lesbos Island.

Early in the morning arrive in Samos. Sail on, and get into a storm near Ikarion Island.

The Eastern mountain tops of the Crete are behind us. We are sailing southward trying not to divert.

Slow progress (wooden parts are used as fuel). In the evening: meeting two British warships. Ask for help.

While waiting, tear off other wooden parts of the ship.

In the morning: land sighted on the horizon. Towards evening we are towed to Limassol, Cyprus.
