2009: Dream and Reality. Franz Peter Kien (Warnsdorf, 1919 – Auschwitz, 1944)

Exhibition at Terezin Memorial in May – October 2009 shows to the broad public art and destiny of an extremely gifted artist, poet and playwright, whose promising career was interrupted by violent death. In Terezin, Kien authored the libretto of the famous V. Ullmann’s opera “Emperor of Atlantis.” Project of Elena Makarova, Ira Rabin & NPO Solidarity (Israel).


1999 - 2005: "Friedl Dicker-Brandeis: Life, Art, Teaching"


Exhibition series about Friedl Dicker-Brandeis (Vienna 1898 – Terezin 1942 – Auschwitz 1944), outstanding artist and teacher for Terezin prisoner children: Vienna – Czesky Krumlov – Paris – Stockholm – Berlin – Atlanta – Tokyo & five other Japanese venues – Los Angeles – New York). Catalogue-monograph in five languages. Accompanying films, conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops; contribution to local designs. Project of Simon Wiesenthal Center (USA). >>>



2000-2001: "Long Live Life!" (Theater and Cabaret in Terezin KZ)

A series of four exhibits, incl. research, installation, writing a catalogue and articles, and conducting seminars and workshops in Jerusalem (Israel Goor Theater Museum/Archive) and Moscow (three venues: Young People Theater, Jewish Center in the Mar'yina Roscha and Foreign Literature Library). February 1995 - September 1996: Scandinavian Tour

A Scandinavian tour of the exhibition "Theresienstadt: Culture and Barbarity" in Stockholm, Lund (Sweden), Stawanger ( Norway) and Kolding ( Denmark). At these events, the collection items from the kibbutz memorial "Beit Terezin" ( Israel) was shown to the public for the first time. Research, catalogue, contribution to exhibits' design and installation.



May 1993: Children's Drawing in
RotterdamCity Hall, Holland

Exhibition of Israeli children's drawings during a fund-raising session to aid Russian immigrants to Israel.



January 1991 - July 1991: "Vom Bauhaus nach Terezin"


Exhibition in Frankfurt/M Jewish Museum, based on the 1990 Yad Vashem exhibit in Jerusalem. The key article for the catalogue.



March 1990 - July 1990: "From Bauhaus to Terezin - Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and Her Pupils"

Exhibition of works from the Prague Jewish Museum and other depositories at Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem. Work included research, curator’s job and writing the catalogue.



October 1988 - September 1989: "Terezin Concentration Camp Children's Drawings"


Three exhibitions of art works from the Prague Jewish Museum presented in Moscow, Riga (Latvia) and Vilnius (Lithuania). Work included research, curator’s job and writing the catalogue.
