The non-profit organization Janusz Korczak House in Jerusalem (JKH) is happy to provide a roof for another significant piece of European and in particular Jewish European cultural heritage. Among the 20 th century’s pedagogues and artists, Friedl Dicker-Brandeis occupies her well-deserved niche; no less is her significance as symbol and embodiment of spiritual resistance against genocide. In a personal plane, Friedl Dicker-Brandeis was a vibrant, energy-laden woman, passionately loving her friends, Nature and life in general. She was also an observant and well-read intellectual, deeply involved in the stream of her tempestuous time. This JKH’s contribution became realizable due to the generous grant of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. JKH express deep gratitude to all contributors, especially to Vienna Applied Art University, and personally, to Dr. David Buyaner (Berlin), Judith Adler (Weesen), Prof. Edith Kramer (Grundlsee), Mag. Georg Schrom (Vienna), Michal Beer (Tel Aviv), Lukas Strasser (Alkoven) and other contributors. Sergei Makarov
